Slate: Nationalize Facebook
Because government does a way better job with your privacy than the private sector. Slate’s proposals are laughable: they complain that Facebook has an abusive privacy policy, in large part (they say) because the government has no strong privacy law. Then they advocate the government (which still has no privacy law) taking control of Facebook. Then they advocate the government (which still has no privacy law) use its newly-acquired data to harvest more information about STDs and criminal networks. Violation of privacy? Nah, we can trust the government.
