HandBrake 0.9.3 launches with tons of new features (including GTK+ GUI)
I love DVD rippers. Back in the day, I even wrote an article comparing five of them. But my favorite has consistently been HandBrake. The main downside was the lack of Linux graphical support. Now, though, HandBrake’s GUI was ported to GTK+. Another great feature is the ability to convert any video file, not just a DVD.
On the downside, there’s no more internal DVD decryption. Luckily, it supports libdvdcss if you install it. Actually, I think this is probably a good way to go for Handbrake. There are all sorts of legal issues, and this is definitely the best of both worlds.
